It’s the festive season and everyone is busy, more like SUPER busy.
Here are a few tips to help you get through the holidays with a well-balanced life.
Split December in two parts, the first two weeks and the second two weeks.
DURING THE FIRST PART OF DECEMBER
1- Go over your to-do list and finish all your pending tasks assigned before the new year. Don’t nag just start working on it!
2- Do not forget to also finish the tasks due the first week of January, this way your “back to work” will be smooth.
3- If you are an employer do not give your employees extra tasks during the holidays, it is their time to relax and renew their thoughts. You need them back fresh and ready after the holidays.
4- Do not create new tasks, especially not major ones. Keep these till the new year, you will have a clearer mind.
5- Plan the gifts you want to get for your loved ones. Running out of ideas? Check out Shop The Twist for great gift ideas.
DURING THE SECOND PART OF DECEMBER
The holidays are getting closer, it is time for a change. CHRISTMAS!
1- During the second part of the month, dedicate your time to the family. Do not take major work decisions. Everyone is busy, no clients will make major decisions. So you too should relax and enjoy the festive season.
2- Read some good books. Try “The Art of Thinking Clearly” by Rolf Dobelli. Have a great book in mind? Share the title and author below in the comments section 🙂
3- Go out and check the holidays’ decorations you would be surprised how inspiring they can be.
4- Set up a cool out of the office reply and keep an eye on your emails in case anything urgent popped up, although we are sure nothing will, except if you are working in the ER.
Happy Holidays!
