How many times have you packed items that you never used during your trip? How many times have you wondered why did I bring so many things with me?

When traveling, surprises accompany you, some are pleasant others are not, so better travel light at all times to avoid any unpleasant surprises where you will have to carry a heavy luggage.

I have learned that the hard way. Since then, I have decided to pack the least possible.

Here are some tips I discovered during my trips, I hope they will be of help to you when packing.

Outfits: If you are going on a vacation, you will always buy clothes, there are no exceptions. So make sure to pack two different outfits, and only TWO! You can wear the ones you bought.

Beauty Products Kit: Use small containers, extra small ones if possible to carry your beauty products. Who are you kidding, you won’t have time to contour your face! Keep your beauty products strictly to the necessary and basics. You would be surprised how small your beauty product kit will be.

Shoes: This is where the agony starts, especially if you are a shoe addict. You will most probably buy shoes during your trip as well. So pack only TWO shoes, flats and heels.

Luggage: Choosing the best carry-on luggage is a bit tricky, especially when you are a business person. You might arrive straight from the airport to a meeting with your luggage. My favorite is Samsonite Pro DLX3 Spinner, I highly recommend it, it has amazing features for business people, I own the large one and the carry-on. Samsonite sure thought of it all, the main compartment is divided in two with a zippered separation, the bag is a spinner so it has 4 wheels for easy handling, garment sleeve with a smart suit hanger, on the front the bag has a zippered pocket that can fit a 13″ laptop and another smaller pocket for keys or tickets, add to all that a very classy and professional look.

Most of the accommodations will be equipped with towels, shower gels, etc… If you prefer to take your own, make sure they are very light, and ask for small samples so you can dispose of them when they are empty.

Books: Download e-books or audio books that you can enjoy on your smartphones. Do not carry hard copies with you, we live in the digital era!
