Flying there from Dubai on Sri Lankan Airlines, a sponsor of The Marketers Summit Maldives Edition was a pleasant experience. The flight attendants welcome you and make sure your flight is comfortable. The lounge of Sri Lankan airlines is also a great place to relax between flights. I also had the time to review my presentation on the plane.

We rarely make an effort to look at how our personal branding as a founder or executive affects our brand. During my contribution to The Marketers Summit Maldives Edition, I discussed the importance of being the ambassador of your own brand.
Have you ever thought of improving your personal image online to help promote your brand? Have you ever wondered how small businesses grow? Maybe. You must remember a small business owner talking about their story and how they started on social media. Their post went viral and their business grew. They became the ambassadors of their own brand.
Ask yourself, when was the last time you posted about your work? Your brand? Your career? Your colleagues? Your achievements? It is never too late to start.

The Gala Dinner
A competition was organized the second day and teams presented a marketing strategy to promote Maldivian brands. A gala dinner was organized in a beautiful old resort by the beach to offer prizes to the winners.
