Lebanese break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Human Letter

by Dr. Maria Frangieh

1860 Lebanese broke the Guinness World Record by forming the Largest Human Letter at an event organized by Beirut Celebrations & Fiesta Group.

On Independence Day, Lebanese citizens gathered at Martyr’s Square Down Town and create the Largest “U” letter expressing the union of Lebanese despite their differences wishing Lebanon a Happy 71st Independence Day. The Largest “U” letter was recorded as a Guinness world record.
At the same time when all were united in one letter the Mosque set its Athan & the Church rang its bells.

A great initiative during these difficult times Lebanon is going through, it is also a message to all.  Most will disregard, but one cannot deny, some are still trying.

The event was broadcasted live on MTV Lebanon.
