by Dr. Maria Frangieh

Have you ever wanted to include some else’s content in your blog post but was not sure how to do so? Embedding it, is the way.

Embed Instagram

Many have argued that embedding someone else’s content in your blog posts will increase the bounce rate. Here are 5 good reasons why embedding someone else’s content in your blog posts will not harm your traffic, on the contrary it will drive more traffic.

1- Give credit where credit is due.

2- Eliminate the risk of misspelling the name of the person you are referring to (That happened to all of us right?).

3- Keep the embedded content in its original format, which will be more attractive to your readers.

4- Allow traffic to the account from which you are embedding the content. You can also send traffic to your social media accounts by embedding content from them.

5- Others will do the same with you!

If you want to embed an article I suggest you use embed.ly which gives a preview of the link you are embedding and adds some colors to your post.

Embedly embed Content

As for social media posts, embed directly from the social media platform itself, there is an option that is available below posts.
